Golf has been a constant in my life since kindergarten, when I first picked up a club during a PE lesson. Back then, the club felt almost too big for me, yet the feeling of striking the ball cleanly — that crisp, centered contact — was something I never forgot. Over time, golf evolved from a pastime into my main sport, and eventually into a discipline that has shaped how I think, compete, and live. Playing golf competitively taught me about precision and patience in ways no classroom could. I learned that improvement doesn’t come all at once; it’s the product of hundreds of quiet, repetitive swings and countless small adjustments. I carried my own golf bag as a kid, played at Sun Island, and grew through the discipline of practice. Golf taught me more about resilience than any victory speech could: that composure under pressure, trust in preparation, and the ability to adapt are what separate perseverance from frustration. Golf, in many ways, mirrors my academic approach. Both require discipline, analysis, and self-awareness.
