I am a graduate student at Indiana State University earning my masters in Student Affairs and Higher Education. My family consist of a hyper britney spaniel (Klyde) and a to-cool-to-be-bothered grey cat (Kuumba). I spend my days studying and being a creative.

I'm passionate about

I am passionate about women's and children's rights, freedom of expression, eco-preservation/protection, smart development, and philanthropy.

An idea worth spreading

We are capable or anything.

The TED story

I have been watching TED videos since I was in high school. I would fall asleep to the voices of influencers. During my junior year of undergrad, I received the opportunity to attend a TEDx event called Grow. Seeing people from the community come and share their ideas to students meant a lot to me. It showed me that students are valued and that there are people who want to mentor and provide resources to them.

Things you might not know

Many people look at me and would never guest that I am a studio artist and when they find out they assume its limited to drawing and painting. I actually am not the greatest at two denominational art. I prefer woodworking and sculpting. There is something magical about the feeling of a material changing texture and form in your hands. The ability to create, break, build, shape, inspire, and to be inspired is a wonderful thing that allows me to fill each day with beautiful art that makes the people around me think differently.
