Passionate About Empowerment and Change
I am deeply passionate about helping people discover and realize their true potential. For over two decades, I have dedicated my career to Counseling Psychology, Educational Counseling, and Training, focusing on how individuals can unlock their hidden capabilities. My journey as a psychologist and educator has been driven by the belief that every person has an innate reservoir of strengths and talents waiting to be uncovered and harnessed.
Empowering Through Insight
My work revolves around developing insights in others, enabling them to understand themselves better and, consequently, make informed and empowered decisions about their lives. Insight is the foundation upon which growth and transformation are built. Without a deep understanding of oneself—one's motivations, desires, strengths, and challenges—true empowerment remains elusive.
I approach my work with the conviction that empowerment is not something that can be given or bestowed; it is something that must be cultivated from within. My role, as I see it, is to act as a guide and facilitator, helping individuals navigate the often complex journey of self-discovery. By fostering insight, I aim to equip people with the tools they need to take charge of their lives and achieve their goals.
A Changemaker at Heart
Being a changemaker is central to my identity. Change is the only constant in life, and I believe in embracing it with open arms. However, change for the sake of change is not enough; it must be meaningful, purposeful, and directed towards a better future. My work as a changemaker involves not just initiating change but also ensuring that it is sustainable and beneficial to those it impacts.
Over the years, I have been involved in various initiatives aimed at promoting mental health, improving educational outcomes, and empowering communities. Each of these initiatives has been a stepping stone towards creating a society where individuals are not just surviving but thriving. As a TEDx Speaker and resource person, I have had the privilege of sharing my insights and experiences with a wider audience, further amplifying the impact of my work.
Counseling and Educational Initiatives
My experience in Counseling Psychology has allowed me to work with a diverse range of individuals, each with their unique challenges and aspirations. From students struggling with academic pressure to adults dealing with life’s many stresses, I have provided support, guidance, and strategies to help them overcome their difficulties.
In the realm of education, I have been particularly focused on Faculty Development Programs (FDP) and Achievement Motivation Training (AMT). These programs are designed to enhance the skills and competencies of educators, ensuring that they are not only effective in their roles but also inspired and motivated to foster a positive learning environment. I firmly believe that the key to a successful education system lies in the continuous professional development of teachers. When educators are well-equipped and motivated, they can inspire and nurture the next generation of leaders, thinkers, and innovators.
Commitment to Mental Health and Wellbeing
Mental health has always been a cornerstone of my work. In today’s fast-paced world, mental health issues are becoming increasingly prevalent, yet they are often overlooked or stigmatized. I am committed to breaking down these barriers and creating a culture of openness and acceptance around mental health.
Through my counseling practice and various workshops, I aim to raise awareness about the importance of mental health and provide individuals with the tools they need to manage their mental well-being effectively.
A Vision for the Future
Looking ahead, I am excited about the possibilities for further growth and impact. The world is changing rapidly, and with these changes come new challenges and opportunities. My vision for the future is one where individuals are not only aware of their potential but are also equipped to realize it fully. I envision a world where mental health is prioritized, where education is inclusive and empowering, and where every person has the opportunity to lead a fulfilling and meaningful life.
In my role as an educator, counselor, and changemaker, I am committed to continuing my work in these areas, constantly seeking new ways to make a positive impact. I believe that by empowering individuals and fostering a culture of insight and understanding, we can create a better, more compassionate world for everyone.
Personal Philosophy
At the core of my philosophy is the belief that true change begins from within. External circumstances may shape our lives to a certain extent, but it is our inner world—our thoughts, beliefs, and attitudes ultimately determines our path.

I am passionate about both education and fashion, seeing them as complementary forms of expression. In the classroom, I inspire students through public speaking and critical thinking, while in fashion, I explore creativity, self-expression, and the confidence that comes from presenting oneself authentically. Both fields allow me to empower others and celebrate individuality.

My passions include the study of global markets and economies, world religions, and the entrepreneurial community in Nashville. I also enjoy getting outdoors (hiking, fly fishing) and exercising. My reading list ranges from The Forgotten Depression, Naked Statistics, and The Theory of Money and Credit to the Qur'an and the Book of Mormon. While I attend a Methodist Church, I have a strong interest in the religious doctrines that tend to separate, versus unite, us and enjoy exploring books of non-Christian faiths.
From a community perspective, I focus my energy on events that support the growing technology community and expanding the TEDx platform to the Middle Tennessee community.
