• Andrew Mwangi

  Student

  Andrew is a 12-year-old homeschooled student residing in Nairobi who has already distinguished himself as a young leader and communicator. He is the immediate past President of his Gavel Club, where he demonstrated strong leadership and public speaking skills. Andrew is also a member of the Kenya Junior National Debate Team, reflecting his ability to think critically and present persuasive arguments. In addition to debate and leadership, he is a Chinese speaker, showing curiosity about languages and global cultures. As an enthusiastic public speaker, Andrew enjoys sharing ideas, engaging audiences, and using his voice to inspire thoughtful conversations.

• Christine Mwania

  Student

  Christine Mwania, 18, from Ruiru, is a gap-year student passionate about international relations and diplomacy, which she aims to pursue at the university. She is interested in computer science as well, particularly how AI and applied technology can be leveraged to reshape diplomacy as it has transformed industries. A dedicated member of Kenya Model United Nations, she enjoys exploring cultures through films, books, music and global exchange. She hopes to engage in international platforms and conferences.

  At 19, Daisy Itago from Mamlaka, Nairobi, is quietly becoming a force to watch. A student of Informatics and Computer Science at Strathmore University, she is an award-winning speaker - Best Public Speaker at the East Africa World Schools Debate Championship 2024 and multiple national stages. Once overlooked, her voice set her apart. Now, she is building StageSphere, an AI-powered digital stage uniting African youth through immersive storytelling; determined to challenge norms and inspire a generation to rise wisely and boldly.

  I’m Ira Joshi, 12 years old, and I study at Nairobi International School. I was born in India, have lived in Kenya for almost six years, and spent a year in the UK. I have visited Italy, Scotland, Dubai and enjoy travelling. I love exploring Karura Forest, playing piano, math, music, and everything Harry Potter (I practically worship it). I have gone to KICC for Model United Nations. My parents are both doctors, and I have a 4-year-old sister.

  Jeremy is a curious and driven 16-year-old student at SABIS International School with a strong passion for Math, Chemistry, and Physics. An app developer, sustainability advocate, graphic designer and electronics enthusiast, he enjoys building practical solutions to real-world problems. Beyond STEM, he competes in Fortnite cups, 10Ks, paints with oil pastels, and explores art galleries. Known for diving deep into rabbit holes on topics like religion, cults, and obscure history, Jeremy thrives on curiosity, creativity, and intellectual challenge.

• Kimberly Mwangi

  Kimberly is a vibrant 9-year-old homeschooled student from Nairobi with a boundless love for creativity and storytelling. She is a young actress who has featured in several local productions. She brings confidence, energy, and imagination to every role she plays. She is deeply passionate about drama and the arts. Kimberly also enjoys drawing in her free time, filling pages with colorful ideas and characters. She is an avid reader who hopes to publish several books and sharing her imagination with the world.

• Kyle Mwangi

  Kyle is a curious and energetic 7-year-old homeschooled learner from Nairobi with a deep love for discovery. He looks up to his older siblings and enjoys playing, exploring, and learning alongside them. Kyle is naturally experimental; any free moment quickly turns into “experiment time”, His favourite subject is science because it helps him understand the world through discovery.

• NEEYATI DALAL

  Neeyati is a 15-year-old girl raised in Wales and now living in Nairobi, Kenya. She attends Woodland Star, a beautiful school set in a forest. She loves public speaking, playing violin and singing on stage, which boosts her confidence. Active and adventurous, she enjoys Taekwondo, table tennis, basketball and excels in Math. Her courage is evident in achievements like jumping off a 100-meter cliff. Energetic and determined, Neeyati thrives on challenges that help her grow, and stands up for what she believes in.

• Philomena Wangari

  Philomena Wangari is a 15-year-old student at Mathare Junior Secondary School in Mathare, Nairobi. She is an active participant in Blossoms of Ghetto’s programs and loves cooperating with others to bring happiness to her community. Philomena believes that everyone’s talents, no matter how small, can make a difference. She encourages people to use their abilities to help others, inspire positive change, and build a stronger community.

• TERESINA KERUBO ONYINKWA

  Teresina is a 20 year old musician who hails from Tudor, Mombasa County in Kenya. Currently a first year student at Strathmore University in Nairobi, she creates music inspired from the world around her- matatu streets, dorm rooms and the people she loves. Her sonic work formed the sound of the acclaimed “Tudor x Moneylotion” campaign, where she also wrote and delivered the voice over. • Wanjiku Njeri Maina

  Student

  Wanjiku Njeri Maina is a 15-year-old student currently studying at Braeburn Garden Estate International School. She is drawn to expressive and creative spaces, filling her time with piano, performing on stage, debating, or writing. She spends much of her time engaging with global affairs, current events, and political discourse, and enjoys conversations that challenge perspectives on these topics. When she is not preparing for exams or on stage, she is usually swimming laps or battling it out on the football pitch with her brother.

• Winona Chilowa

  Student

  Winona Chilowa is a 15-year-old student from Loresho, Nairobi, currently attending Sunrise Virtual School. She brings both local and global perspective to conversations about identity and belonging. She has served as school captain and class president, and is often the go-to speaker at school events. She loves Mathematics (especially solving simultaneous equations), journaling, and challenging herself with puzzles like Nerdle and Sudoku. She approaches leadership with empathy, confidence, and a genuine desire to uplift others.
