Bio

Liliane Makole is a French-Cameroonian entrepreneur, program leader, and community builder whose life and work have taken her across seven countries and diverse cultural environments. With an Master In Business Admnistration and a Master’s in Management focused on developing countries, she has built a career around bringing people, ideas, and opportunities together. A passionate believer in the power of human connection, Liliane has worked across international program management, leadership development, partnerships, education, events, and cultural initiatives. She is particularly drawn to creating spaces where people can connect, learn, exchange ideas, and experience different perspectives. Her entrepreneurial journey includes co-founding Mera Kitchen Collective, a worker-owned cooperative in Baltimore, and founding Globalia Experiences, through which she curates cultural, culinary, and leadership and communication experiences that bring communities together. She is also the Lead Organizer of TEDxNairobi, having previously organized TEDxKitisuru, and is passionate about using the TEDx platform to amplify ideas and voices that can inspire meaningful change. Now based in Nairobi, Kenya, Liliane continues to build initiatives at the intersection of leadership, culture, education and human connection. Her international experiences have shaped her belief that some of the most powerful ideas emerge when people from different backgrounds come together with curiosity, openness with a willingness to see the world differently.

I'm passionate about

Beyond my work, I am at my happiest outdoors, exploring new places, discovering different cultures. I love taking on challenges that push me outside my comfort zone. I am driven by curiosity and a belief that some of life’s best lessons come from simply saying yes to a new experience. I do say YES to many of them.
