Born to a teacher-mother, since childhood I have a firm conviction that society is always in need of good human beings with ethical values and a determined commitment for nation building and its only a teacher who is bestowed with immense potential with all such humans. That’s how and why I have chosen this as an area of interest. I have been fortunate enough to work in DAV institutions like DAV Public School CSPUR, DAV Public School Burla, DAV Public School Talcher and DAV Public School, CDA Cuttack and now in DAV Public School Unit-8, Bhubaneswar as a teacher, administrator and principal. Till this point of my life, in different capacities, I have tried with utmost sincerity and honesty to touch lives of people/students and bring in them a desirable change in the greater interest of the people and the place around.
With all humility, this is not out of place to mention here that along with many local honours, the Almighty has been gracious enough to crown me with coveted Mahatma Hansraj and CBSE Award to Teachers all of which I owe to success of my students and the institutions where I have served.

I am passionate about a number of things in life and I always try my utmost to be in touch with those. My first passion is cooking. Many of my childhood memories revolve around me helping my grandmothers roll out round 'luchis' or fry that fish cake. Cooking is an intuition, a reflex. All my measurements are done according to my intuition. A pinch of salt makes or breaks it.
I am extremely passionate about anything Japanese. Japan has been close to my heart since the time I discovered Animax on cable Tv when I was 7. And even today, after all these years, it has not diminished one single bit. Also, I read mangas daily and it is something I simply cannot do without.
Animal welfare is my mission in life. My vision in life. And one day, I will ensure a world full of happiness for these animals.

I'm passionate about my work and my responsibility towards society.
Talking about the first, I enjoy taking up new projects and exploring new fields. Since my school days, I have volunteered for various school activities like speeches, presentations, cultural programs, volunteering work during school events, school plays, quizzes and the students' executive. I have won various certificates across diverse fields throughout my school life and these experiences have helped me gain a wide range of perspective towards various aspects of life. Even in college, I've volunteered for a couple of scientific projects and for various college events - may it be through performing on stage or the backstage work in organizing. As the literary secretary of our students' association, I am keen on providing our students with an array of experiences and opportunities and this idea has manifested itself in the form of the first ever book/poetry club of our college and the first ever pride month celebration, within the first 2 months of my tenure.
Talking about the second point in my opening sentence, I feel, as a well endowed individual, it is my duty to use my position and resources to reach out to the less privileged sections of our country. Hence, I have always tried to contribute towards social welfare through multiple ways (at least my humble minimum), some of which I mention now:
-volunteering for a project called the 'Neighborhood Project' during my senior years at school. The project entailed providing the underprivileged children of that area with free and quality tuition and an opportunity for co-curricular development after regular school hours.
- I was part of the community help group of our school that focused on spreading awareness about various social issues, volunteering for community activities and organizing fundraisers for certain NGOs.
- I have taken up the responsibility of organizing orphanage visits in our college for two consecutive years during the festival of Diwali.
- I have volunteered for a community based palliative care initiative started by our hostel committee (it will be implemented soon)
- I have also been part of 'swachata' (cleanliness) awareness plays during my first year at college.
- I have volunteered for organizing various MSAI (Medical Students Association of India) events that entail spreading awareness about various topics like gender equality, LGBTQ+ rights, sexual and reproductive health, blood donation, etc.

I am passionate about creating spaces where ideas, creativity, and meaningful conversations can thrive. As someone involved in organizing TEDx events, I enjoy bringing people together, students, innovators, storytellers, and thinkers to share perspectives that inspire others.
My passion lies in empowering young people to believe that their voices matter. Whether it is through events, discussions, or community initiatives, I want to help build environments where individuals feel confident to express ideas that can challenge perspectives and inspire change.
I am especially driven by the opportunity to connect people, cultivate leadership among youth, and create platforms where knowledge and inspiration can travel beyond classrooms and reach communities.
