TEDxChittagongUniversity is an independently organized TEDx event held under a license from TED. Through a curated convergence of speakers, performers, and thought leaders, it brings the comprehensive ethos of ideas worth spreading to Chittagong University. This year’s Tedx theme, 'Rising Beyond', captures the intellectual restlessness of a generation unwilling to be confined by fear, failure, or inherited boundaries. We call to transcend limitation, reimagining possibility with courage and clarity. Through a carefully curated blend of talks and discussions, TEDxChittagongUniversity 2026 will explore narratives of resilience and bold innovation, where each idea presented becomes an inflection point. Rather than celebrating perfection, the event will lean into tension, uncertainty, and becoming. Our vision is to convene the most compelling thinkers for an evocative day of ideas, dialogue and creativity, to catalyze new opportunities across all disciplines.

  • Antik Mahmud

    Cartoonist, Animator & Creative Entrepreneur

    Antik Mahmud is a Bangladeshi cartoonist, animator, storyteller, and creative entrepreneur known for building a popular animation studio with millions of views and followers. Through his distinctive visual storytelling, humor, and digital creativity, he has inspired a young generation of audiences in Bangladesh and beyond.

    Physician & Co-founder, Travelettes of Bangladesh

    Dr. Sakia Haque is a Bangladeshi physician, public health professional, activist, and co-founder of Travelettes of Bangladesh. She is known for empowering women through health awareness, travel, and social change, inspiring young girls to break barriers and build confidence.

  • Mohammad Mehedi Hasan Rafi

    Founder of Mexemy

    Mohammad Mehedi Hasan Rafi is an entrepreneur and education innovator dedicated to making practical, career-focused learning accessible to young people. Starting with no initial funding, he built an EdTech platform from the ground up, assembled a team of 20+ national experts, and launched over 40 industry-standard courses. Under his leadership, the platform has generated more than 23 million BDT in revenue, served over 12,000 learners, and achieved 20,000+ course enrollments.

  • Mohammad Muslim Chowdhury

    Former Secretary, Finance Division, Ministry of Finance, Bangladesh

    Mr. Mohammad Muslim Chowdhury is a distinguished public finance expert and former 12th Comptroller and Auditor General of Bangladesh. With over 33 years of civil service experience, he played a key role in advancing public financial management reform, governance, and service delivery in Bangladesh. Before serving as CAG, he was Secretary of the Finance Division, Ministry of Finance. A recipient of the Jana Prashashan Award 2017, he also contributed to major reform initiatives supported by the World Bank and DFID.

Known for using humor as a powerful way to reflect on society and everyday life, he brings together storytelling, wit, and cultural insight to create conversations that both entertain and resonate.

  • Umme Maisun

    Emerging Educator, Writer and Social Worker

    Umme Maisun is a 15 year old young educator, author, and digital creator from Chattogram who changed how Bangla medium students see English learning. Through her widely loved platform, Maisun’s World, she transformed screens into classrooms with joyful English lessons achievable for everyone. At present, she is a revered figure of admiration for children.
