  • Ivana Kaňovská

    Conceptual Fashion Designer

    Ivana Kaňovská is a leading Czech fashion designer, educator, and founder of the Cabinet°55 studio. She focuses on conceptual clothing design, referring to the current trend of synergy between design, fashion, technology, and craftsmanship. The topic of her talk at TEDxHumenné is the issue of new horizons in contemporary fashion design, the still resonating theme of sustainability, and a perspective on the current critical situation of the clothing industry, its impacts, and an outline of possible visions and the future direction of this attractive field.

    Director of the Andy Warhol Museum of Modern Art in Medzilaborce

    Martin Cubjak is the director of the Andy Warhol Museum of Modern Art in Medzilaborce, which, under his leadership, underwent a historic reconstruction worth more than 15 million euros. Thanks to his unique approach, he co-created a unique exhibition of world-renowned names in pop art and street art in Slovakia and prepared more than 20 international Andy Warhol exhibitions. At TEDxHumenné, he talked about cross-regional visions and how a periphery, can be transformed into a vibrant hub for art and culture. --- Martin Cubjak je riaditeľom Múzea moderného umenia Andyho Warhola v Medzilaborciach, ktoré pod jeho vedením prešlo historickou rekonštrukciou za viac ako 15 miliónov eur. Vďaka jedinečnému prístupu spoluvytvoril unikátnu expozíciu svetových mien pop-artu a street artu na Slovensku a pripravil viac než 20 zahraničných výstav Andyho Warhola. Na TEDxHumenné porozprával o víziách prekračujúcich región a o tom, ako sa aj z periférie dá vytvoriť vyhľadávané centrum umenia a kultúry.

  • Michaela Seewald

    CEO of V24 MEDIA, the publisher VOGUE CS and Vogue Leaders for the Czech Republic and Slovakia

    Michaela Seewald is the founder and CEO of V24 MEDIA, the publisher of the prestigious magazines VOGUE CS and Vogue Leaders for the Czech Republic and Slovakia. Her work focuses on connecting global brands with Central Europe and creating innovative content that goes beyond traditional fashion boundaries. Under Michaela’s leadership, the magazine reaches over 100,000 readers in print and three million on digital platforms. She founded the Vogue Leaders platform, which supports women and girls through inspiring interviews and conferences. In 2024, she also launched the project Most Influential Woman, highlighting exceptional female personalities. Michaela studied law at Charles University and is a member of the Czech Bar Association. She believes that true luxury lies in values such as family, time, health, and inner peace.

  • Mišo Hudák

    Filmmaker, Regional Changemaker & Community Builder

    Mišo describes himself as “a proud father, hardcore Kaschauer, and a very weak imitator of Mišo Hudák, who goes to bed early and walks at least 11 kilometers daily.” Mišo has been a filmmaker, an engaged citizen, and founded the organization Východné pobrežie, which tries to turn the city of Košice and Eastern Slovakia into an interesting corner of Europe. In Humenné, he spoke about his personal relationship with his hometown, where one should not only survive or run away from, but where it is possible to stay, maybe even return, but above all, where it will be possible to live meaningfully.

  • Ondrej Palkoci

    Software Engineer in Artificial Intelligence and Medicine

    Ondrej Palkoci works as an AI/ML specialist and cloud engineer in a med-tech startup. In cooperation with an international team, they are developing technology in Košice that pushes the boundaries of non-invasive cardiology. He was involved in the establishment of one of the first AI labs in Eastern Slovakia and has long focused on connecting data science with the medical domain.

  • Tomáš Gabzdil Libertíny

    Artist and Designer

    Tomáš Gabzdil Libertíny is a Slovak visual artist and designer based in Rotterdam. He is best known for his unique works created in beeswax, made in collaboration with honeybees. His works are part of many collections, for example, the Museum of Modern Art in New York, the Palais du Louvre in Paris, or the Israel Museum in Jerusalem. At TEDxHumenné, he shared why bees are his role models in both art and life.

  • Veronika Kostková

    Fashion Designer

    Veronika Kostková is a fashion designer and fashion expert who believes that every woman has the right to experience the feeling of beauty on her own unique day. "Being the most beautiful in the world" is not only about outward appearance but also about the inner feeling of self-confidence and trust in oneself. With her help, dream dresses become a reality. Veronika understands that every woman first imagines how she will shine on her important day in a dress that transforms her into a princess. The desire for beautiful dresses that reflect her personality and unique stories is natural. "The most important dress in your life" can carry strong emotional weight, and therefore, her clients trust that, thanks to her expertise and sensitive approach, she can capture their vision of perfection. She comes from Trenčín and has been involved in fashion since graduating from the Academy of Fine Arts (2012) in Bratislava.

  • Viliam Gabria

    Social Health Innovator

    Viliam Gabria is the founder of OZ Zodpovedný, the project weLive, and a former finance manager. He is living proof that after cancer, one can not only survive but also live meaningfully. As the founder of the weLive project, he focuses on innovations and services in the area of health and return to life after serious illnesses. He provides support within psychological counseling, social security, insurance, and a social enterprise focused on work and employment. The weLive platform provides information, support, and hope.

  • Vladimír Valovič

    Visual Effects Artist (VFX Compositor)

    Vladimír Valovič is a visual effects artist whose career is full of fascinating Hollywood projects. During his career, he worked in Prague and London, collaborating with director Steven Spielberg on the film Lincoln. He also worked on the film Gravity and moved to Canada in 2015. His portfolio includes collaborations on films such as Pirates of the Caribbean 4, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows II, Terminator, Star Trek: Beyond, Guardians of the Galaxy 1 and 2, and Justice League.

  • Zuzana Pacáková

    Curator & Artistic Director of Nuit Blanche Slovakia

    Zuzana Pacáková is a curator, dramaturge, and cultural manager.She studied the curatorial studies and art management at Sorbonne Paris. She brought the international contemporary art festival Nuit Blanche/Biela noc to Slovakia and has been its artistic director for 17 years.
