Alexandra Harvanová

Alexandra Harvanová is owner of a small bookshop called Bookshop on the Main street which is located in the eastern slovakian city of Humenne. Bookshop name is inspired by the novel of Ladislav Grosman which was adapted to an Oscar movie Shop on the Main street. The idea was to create a place where everyone will be accepted. Alexandra studied journalism at the university. After school, she worked as production staff in a project of the European capital of culture - Košice 2013. Then, as a manager, helped open a new store of Martinus bookshop in Košice where she worked for two years. During maternity leave, she had an idea to come back to her hometown Humenne and open her own bookshop which is now her kingdom. She also have civil association HumnoArt which is active in producing literature events in Humenné.
