Explore the dynamic and multifaceted relationship between culture and creativity. This theme delves into how cultural contexts – encompassing traditions, beliefs, values, histories, and social structures – profoundly shape and inspire creative expression across various disciplines. We will examine how cultural heritage fuels innovation, how contemporary cultural shifts drive new artistic forms, and how creativity, in turn, influences and evolves cultural landscapes. From the tangible expressions of art, design, and architecture to the intangible realms of music, storytelling, and performance, we will investigate the intricate ways in which culture acts as both a foundation and a catalyst for human ingenuity. This theme also considers the role of creativity in cultural preservation, adaptation, and the forging of new cultural identities in an increasingly interconnected world, particularly within the vibrant and diverse context of Lagos, Nigeria and Africa.

    Soul/Rnb Artiste

    FSharp is a Soul/Rnb artiste whose voice weaves a tapestry of hope, love, and peace, touching hearts one note at a time. Accompanied by the gentle caress of his piano, FSharp's performances are a masterful blend of emotional depth and musical virtuosity, whispering stories of the human experience and awakening emotions that linger long after the music fades. With each performance, FSharp pours his heart and soul into the audience, creating a sacred space where love, hope, and healing flow freely.

  • Jonn Gale

    Ethnobotanist

    Jonn Gale is a London-based ethnobotanist using speculative analysis, ethnobotany, and visual ethnography to create relational botanical archives. Her work focuses on nonlinearity, multi-species livability, and botanical objects as historical actors. She's pursuing a practice-led doctorate at Birkbeck and the Linnean Society, funded by AHRC/CHASE, researching Black naturalists' contributions to 18th-19th century natural knowledge. Her research involves studying specimens and manuscripts at the Linnean Society to identify hidden actors and develop a decolonial archival approach.

  • Olorunfemi Adewuyi

    Designer

    Olorunfemi Adewuyi (b. 1996, Kaduna, Nigeria), studied Architecture at Covenant University. From 2019-2024, he was an Associate at Studio Contra, leading material research and design. He now leads Omi Collective, a multidisciplinary group focused on art, design, and community, exploring memory, material cultures, and Nigerian heritage through architecture, urbanism, and research. A Lagos x Paris Accelerator laureate, he's exhibited in Lagos, Paris, and Stockholm. He moderated at the 2nd Sharjah Architecture Triennial and led workshops for various institutions. His writing has appeared in Disegno and Wallpaper, and he was a D&AD Awards juror. In 2025, he'll exhibit in Milan and New York and is part of the Prince Claus Building Beyond cohort. Wallpaper recognized him as an ascending design star. His Lagos modernist building archive is supported by Goethe-Institut Nigeria.
