My TED journey began in 2016, as a recent graduate, I co-organised the TEDxCovenant University, a TEDx event for a university community. I volunteered because I was keen on unearthing noteworthy ideas from my community. The experience was a daunting one as I was in charge of almost everything from getting speakers, coordinating volunteers, event production and others. I did that for two years and in 2018 I joined the TEDxLagos team. Over the years I’ve functioned in different roles as a member of the TEDxLagos team, now I coordinate content creation on the Web, Newsletter and Social media. In all, I continue to volunteer because I believe meaningful change cannot happen without ideas being shared and acted upon. It has been a rewarding experience because I've learnt a lot about putting together events, the culture of TED and the impact of ideas.
