    Iranian filmmaker, photographer, film producer and researcher. MFA in film directing from the Department of Film and Theater of Tehran University of Fine Arts. Most of his films have been shown at respected festivals both at home and abroad with many receiving critical acclaim. His films being shown at over 500 national and international film festivals in over 60 countries and having won over 120 awards makes him one of the most outstanding Iranian documentary makers.

    Philantropist

    Sharmin Meymandi Nejad is an Iranian writer, director, researcher of social sciences and the establisher of the Imam Ali Society known as the biggest NGO in the middle east supporting more than 5000 troubled children in Iran, Afghanistan and Iraq. Sharmin was born in 1970 in Tehran. His father was Professor Mohammad Hosein Meymandi Nejad, a famous scientist and author.

  • Vahid Rajabloo

    Entrepreneur + Disabled Activist

    Vahid Rajabloo, a disabled Iranian man, has devised a startup system which can make life easier for the disabled. The 30-year-old man has 98-percent disability and does things with only 20 percent of his right hand’s ability. He was born with the genetic disease SMA, and gradually lost the power of his limbs. However, he has been able to earn a living for 11 years now.
