Sean Goode is a speaker, facilitator, writer and nonprofit leader. He serves as the head of impact and learning at Seattle Foundation, a community foundation serving the greater Seattle area. He champions a group of Seattle Foundation leaders who build community and work towards systems change through our grant making, civic action, communications and shared learning efforts. Through this work, they create a place where diverse leaders can convene to reimagine and resource a more joyful region.
Prior to serving at the Seattle Foundation, Goode stewarded the nationally recognized nonprofit CHOOSE 180, where he worked to decriminalize youthful behavior and transform the systems that have historically caused harm to marginalized communities. His work leading this organization, which was granted the City of Seattle's Human Rights Organization award, was preceded by his service as a chaplain in juvenile detention, championing gang- and group-intervention efforts and providing education and employment opportunities for youth in at-risk communities.
