A part of Ørsted since 2012, Olivia Breese’s various leadership positions at the green energy firm have centered around using partnerships to expand the renewable energy business, from scaling up in northern Europe to taking the organization to markets in North America and the Asia-Pacific region.
Since 2022, Breese has served as CEO and senior vice president of Ørsted’s green hydrogen and e-fuel business, Power to X. They aim to revolutionize the fuels of the heavy-emitting transportation and shipping industries with green hydrogen, which is produced from water via renewable, electricity-driven electrolysis. With projects underway in the US and Europe, their FlagshipONE facility in Sweden should produce 50,000 tonnes of e-methanol every year starting in 2025, enabling ships to sail carbon-free.
