Nina Tandon

As cofounder and CEO of EpiBone, Nina Tandon has advanced the field of regenerative medicine by demonstrating applications of growing bone and cartilage from stem cells. EpiBone has achieved a historic milestone of the first human implantation of lab-grown bone graft implants. The company received recognition as a Technology Pioneer by the World Economic Forum and was named one of New York City's most exciting startups by Business Insider.

Tandon is a passionate advocate for tissue engineering and is known for her TED Talks and contributions to Forbes. She was featured on the Netflix series Human: The World Within. She frequently shares her expertise as a speaker and guest lecturer at institutions including Columbia University and MIT. In 2022, she participated in the White House Summit on Biotechnology and Biomanufacturing. She was honored as the class day speaker 2023 at the Columbia School of Engineering and has been appointed to their board of visitors, deepening her commitment to the fields of engineering and healthcare.

Tandon has also been recognized as one of the 100 Most Creative People in Business by Fast Company, an Ernst & Young Winning Woman and as one of the 100 Most Intriguing Entrepreneurs by Goldman Sachs. She holds a master’s degree from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, an MBA from Columbia University as well as a PhD in biomedical engineering from Columbia University.
