Why you should listen

Miguel Goncalves is an investor at The Vistria Group, a next-generation private investment firm that operates at the intersection of purpose and profit. He also works with The Salto Project, a nonprofit organization founded by TED Fellow Guido Núñez-Mujica to help Venezuelans emigrate from the country and rebuild their lives abroad. He previously worked at American Securities, AVALT and the Boston Consulting Group. A 2011 Bezos Scholar, he received an MBA from Harvard Business School, where he was a Baker Scholar; an MASt in Mathematics from the University of Cambridge; and a BS in Physics from Yale College, where he won the Hart Lyman Prize as the highest ranked student in his class. Outside of investment, he is a classically trained bassoon player, orchestral conductor and (bad) comic.
