Why you should listen
Known for eschewing traditional studios and galleries, Lily Yeh's art flourishes on the world’s streets and walls, where she collaborates with local communities to weave beauty and healing through the vibrant tapestry of their collective stories and talents. Born in China and raised in Taiwan before moving to the US in the 1960s, she views her public art as an extension of her personal journey, embodying a mission to beautify abandoned places that are too often seen as “broken.” She is founding director of Barefoot Artists Inc.
