Why you should listen

Kiah Williams is cofounder of SIRUM, a social enterprise dedicated to expanding healthcare access for patients in need. As the nation’s largest redistributor of surplus medicine, SIRUM helps health facilities and pharmacies donate unused medicine and get it to where it's needed most. Prior to cofounding SIRUM, Williams used what she learned while organizing at the NAACP to lead negotiations for the Alliance Healthcare Initiative, supported by the Clinton Foundation and American Heart Association. Backed by TED’s funding initiative the Audacious Project, SIRUM will deploy $770M in life-saving medicine to 10 million low-income adults in America.
