Ketakandriana Rafitoson

Ketakandriana Rafitoson is an activist, independent researcher and vice chair of the global anti-corruption movement, Transparency International (TI). She seeks to “awaken the citizen sleeping in each human being.” After leading TI Madagascar for six years, she was appointed as the executive director of Publish What You Pay (PWYP), a global movement striving for a fairer and clearer energy future, in July 2024. She is the author of a guidebook on nonviolent civil resistance in the Malagasy language and has worked extensively promoting citizen assemblies in support of democracy. She works with several international groups on environmental, human rights and political issues, and she has aided in the launch of safe houses for whistleblowers in Madagascar.
