Karthik Muralidharan is Tata Chancellor's Professor of Economics at the University of California San Diego, where his research focuses on global development. He synthesized insights from over two decades of research and practice in his book, Accelerating India's Development, laying out a conceptual and practical roadmap to accelerate development both in India and globally. He is also the cofounder and scientific director of the Centre for Effective Governance of Indian States (CEGIS), a nonprofit that works with state governments across India to improve state capacity, governance and service delivery.
