For nearly 20 years until 2024, Bruno Giussani was global curator and European director of TED and cofounder and lead curator of its climate initiative, Countdown. In this position, he curated more than 1,000 TED Talks — including two by Pope Francis — and interviewed leading figures on the world’s most pressing issues. He served on TED's leadership team for 12 years.Before TED, Giussani was an internet columnist for the New York Times, head of online strategy at the World Economic Forum, a JS Knight Fellow and Affiliated Fellow at Stanford's Freeman Spogli Institute and a lecturer at EPFL. He also chaired the Geneva International Film Festival and Forum on Human Rights and served 24 years on the board of Swiss software company Tinext, which he cofounded. A Geneva University graduate, he now advises public and private organizations and lives in Switzerland. He is the author of Our Minds Under Siege: How to Avoid Being Manipulated in the Age of Artificial Intelligence and the host of the podcast The Cognitive Threat (available in French, Italian and German).
