When Aurélie was little, she wanted to be a mermaid – but eventually gave up because she couldn’t breathe under water or even grow a mermaid’s tail. So Aurélie settled for second best and became a nationally ranked synchronized swimmer. Born in Paris, bred the in the French Alps, Aurélie holds a BA(Hons) Communication, Advertising and PR and an International Masters’ degree in Communication. Aurélie became Head of Communications for the Rhone-Alps Chapter of the American Chamber of Commerce in France, at the age of 22. Tagged as a rising star, Aurélie realized something was missing. She promptly bought a one way ticket to the other side of the world in search of inspiration, and has found it in the rebuilding of Christchurch!
