Bio
I am a professional expert of more than 10 years in media and human rights with special focus on gender and development in Yemen.
I have experience in political transition and democratic conferences in the aftermath of the 2011 Arab Spring in Yemen. I am the only women and only independent serving on the presidium of the National Dialogue Conference of Yemen.
I have represented Yemen on several local and international platforms and conducted many training courses in communication and human rights. I have also written extensively on Yemen in several publications inside and outside the country.
Being editor in chief of Yemen Times since 2005 I have professional experience as an editor and manager of a media organization.
I also run a civil society organization “Yemen 21st Century Forum” which is a think tank working on development and political research and empowerment.
