Bio

I was born in Reno, Nevada and I've stuck around ever since. I'm a 2017 graduate from Edward C. Reed High School and will attend the University of Nevada, Reno in the fall of 2017. Currently, I intern at the College of Business at the University and plan to study History. Ideally, to someday become a curator in a museum, but with few of those in Reno, Nevada, my studies may take my life in a different direction. I enjoy watching movies, old, new and everything in between (especially Star Wars). I care incredibly for the people around me and hope to always leave a positive mark on those I meet. I'm looking forward to a new chapter of my life and I can't wait to grow and learn from all there is to come. I'm a long time viewer of TED and TEDx events and I'm looking forward to being a part of the team and to help make upcoming TEDx events just as impressive and remarkable as previous years.

I'm passionate about

The well being of the world we live in. Equality. Saving the bees. The happiness of those around me. Film. Leaving a mark on each person that I cross paths with.

The TED story

I attended my first TEDxUniversityofNevada event in early 2016 and was inspired and found that I loved to hear the ideas of others. I will never stop being amazed by each individualized and creative voice that is hidden inside of people that explodes at a TED event. I attended the 2017 TEDxUniversityofNevada event and left feeling again inspired and full of excitement for the people I had met that day, brave enough to share their ideas on stage. After getting a job on campus at the University of Nevada, Reno, I had the opportunity to work with the TEDxUniversityofNevada team as a translator/transcriber. I am beyond excited to become a part of the TEDx team.
