Marcia Golfieri Working about 13 years for social development as a lawyer and consultant for public and private non-profit, works too with social responsibility programs of companies and at consolidation of public-private partnership in public policy. Marcia has experience in managing social projects and special events related to the third setor. Graduated at the College of Law at PUC / SP was a militant at student movement in the Academic Center ‘August 22’ during the period 1999-2003. Member of the Center for Advanced Studies of the Third Sector (NEATS) of PUC-SP, Commission on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities and Commission of Third Sector of OAB (Brazilians Layers Order) –SP, and the International Society for Third Sector Research (ISTR ). Brazilian Co-correspondent of International Center for Non-profit Law (ICNL) to the United States International Grantmaking Project (USIG).Teaching courses in Project Management Social and Local Development Agent at Senac / SP. She also served on the ratification of the Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities adopted by the UN in 2006. More about me and about the things I believe... Firstly, being the daughter of "Dona Ondina Lourenço and "Seu Humberto Golfieri", gave me the oportunity of contact with the third sector -which was not even called that way yet- by my mother's seamstress hands that, for 30 years taught handcrafting at an assistance institute in the neighborhood of "Ipiranga". Under the folding fabric tables did I witness, for the first time, the formation of a social network ... The hands of my father put me in contact with mechanics, a job he held for over 40 years. So, surprisingly, you could hear me pounding on alternators, distributors, pistons, and others. This mechanistic view, cartesian, indeed, helped organize a little of my rational thought... Still very early, studying at a college that gave funds to UNESP's School of Music, I was seduced by the sounds that came from there... From the enchantment that came with the children's choir to the conviction of the electric guitar as it had been stamped in the 50's, it only took a few years... This artistic base, drawn by curiosity, turned out to be the first step of a journey that went through several performances in the entertainement, culture and poetry sector , which ended up, to my mother's disappointment, leading me to the Law Course of "Pontifícia Universidade Católica de São Paulo". There, I was a member of the "Ethos" management of the Academic Center for four years, which added to me experience, flexibility and a strong desire of working in teams. Since then, the Third Sector theme, revived in 1999 by the launching of the OSCIPs law, ended up becoming the reason of my work and my dreams. In 2001, another theme that was familiar to me - the rights of disabled people - also became part of my daily work, first with a quick passage in the "Paradigma" Institute, which promotes social inclusion and, more recently, with two other organizations, "Mais Diferenças" and "3IN" with regard specifically to inclusive education. Seduced by physics, by Mario Schemberg and science, started to integrate this year, the Council of the Association of Friends of "Estação Ciência". After some years studying the third sector and inclusion, I was hooked by the concepts of dialogue, networks and local development. Thanks to Marcos Vaz Moreira, with whom I had immediate empathy, I was integrated to a large team of agents at "Senac São Paulo" Thus, to develop and monitor the development of network social inclusion projects through education and culture has become one of my greatest passions and vocations. "No wonder can I understand those who seek the path. So did I work very hard to seek mine And today as I seek eagerly and harshnessly my best way of being, my shortcut, for I no longer dare to call it a path. I, who had wanted. The Way, with capital letters, now I cling fiercely looking for a way of walking, with right steps. But the shortcut with cooling shadows and light reflecting through the trees, the shortcut where I could finally be miself, that I haven't yet found. But one thing I know: My path is not who I am, but it is another, the others. When I can fully feel the other, I will be saved and think: this is my destination. " (Clarice Lispector) "Life invents! We begin things in not knowing why, and from that we lose power - for life is collective effort of everyone, by everyone seasoned and stired." the greatest love of my life is the practice of developing talent found in people who somehow crossed my path.

An idea worth spreading

For the thorough operation of a network, considering the social complexity we live in, we believe that 4 principles are essential: Democracy, Equality, Horizontal level and Diversity. Below, we expose brief comments on each principle. · Democracy A network only becomes possible in a democratic system that allows full participation of people. We do not refer to democracy as the will of the majority but as people’s full participation in decisions and debates and as respect to the diversity present in the group. In networks we helped to foment, thanks to the number of participants, we try to avoid that the group uses votes to decide debating issues. This is because votes always carry two inseparable consequences: a winner and a loser and the second will always try to reverse their position. We have adopted, by principle and practice, the use of consensus.

Today I join a group that helps create new TEDx'es from southern to northern Brazil. Another important fact is the idealization of a TEDx related to Social Technologies.
