Bio
Karin’s biggest adventure that never happened was a concert tour through South Korean clubs as the singer of a rock band. Instead, she became one of Switzerland’s early leading experts in online communications, social media & content marketing as well as the co-founder of an ambitious e-commerce project fostering international independent publishing. She has shifted her consulting focus from comms and marketing to sustainable organizational content strategies.
In early 2019 she co-founded an NPO dedicated to make ideas for a better future happen. The organization is designed to work as an incubator and in its first project cycle focuses on the topics of food citizenship and sustainable nutrition. Karin is an ambassador of Zurich’s local foodsharing initiative that engages in building networks and raising awareness in order to lessen food waste.
Karin serves on the board of the TEDxZurich association as well as in the council of Project R, a cooperative fighting for independent journalism, freedom of expression, public debate and a functioning democracy.

The TED story
I joined the TED's Open Translation Project in 2010 and the team of TEDxZurich in 2012. TEDWomen 2019 is my first TED conference though.
Things you might not know
