About Angelika

Bio

I was born in Kecskemét, Hungary in 1973. I attended university in Budapest, got a degree as an EFL teacher, translator and interpreter. I worked on a cruise liner in the Carebbean for a year and learned French intensively. After graduation, I started to work as an interpereter at the Ministry of Economics. After being employed, I did some simultaneous and consectutive interpreting for a wide range of companies and plenty of freelance translating. I got married in 2001 and have a wonderful husband working in sylviculture and 4 kids aged 10, 13, 15, 17. After living and working in Budapest for 10 years, my husband and I moved back to Kecskemét and started a family in our home city. Five years ago I landed a job as an EFL teacher in one of the local primary school and have been teaching English to kids aged 10-15 since then. I live in the middle of a forest some 15km from Kecskemét, and look after animals like some sheep, a deer, cats, a dog, and a lovely and grumpy old goose.

I'm passionate about

my family, the well-being of children, nature and animals, and building connections with people, about looking for solutions instead of dwelling on problems, learning languages which also means getting to know various cultures and mindsets, travelling the world, and boks, books, books.
