Bio
My name is Ligia Ribeiro. I am a full-time Brazilian translator and postgraduate in English translation.
Since 2016, I have developed translation projects such as Audio Description, Subtitling (including SDH), Transcription, Translation for Dubbing, Technical Translations, Editing and Proofreading including
volunteering projects for non-profit organizations.
I have a blog called "Arca do Saber" (www.arcadosaber.blog.br).
I love what I do and subtitling is one of my passions.

The TED story
I learned about TED in a group of translators on Facebook. Then, I decided to translate my first video to know more about the platform and all the stages of the process until the video has been published. I found it amazing.
In 2017, I could not subtitle the videos I wanted to because I was involved in the development of the Final Paper for my postgraduate course. But I want to keep subtitling TED speeches.
The organization, the team of translators and the videos are awesome.
