Bio
Licensed in Translation and Interpreting with EN/FR>ES combination by the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona.
As a translator in progress, I joined the TED translators group to achieve experience and to keep training my translating skills.
I am a very curious person, I always want to know more, that is why I have always enjoyed these talks so much. Now, by being able to be part of the process of communication and spreading the knowledge, not only I feel more connected to the world, but more helpful.
My passion is music, and my favourite job experience so far has been working as a Tour Manager for a jazz band while they were touring the Northern European countries. I enjoy reading, cooking, and traveling. My aim is to work as a translator. I chose this profession because it allows you to get to know a lot of things regardin any type of topic that comes to mind. It can be stressing, but knowledge is a reward worth struggling for.
I'm passionate about
music and communication, maybe that is why I love music so much. As a translator, I love the idea of being able to decipher a source code and turn it into a different code, a target one. And I am not talking only about languages, but all the cultural background hidden. Cultures are fascinating, same as languages and the origin of words. As I said, maybe I love music because it is another way of communicating with other people without the need of an oral common language.
An idea worth spreading
Everybody suffers, everybody is or has been in pain. Empathy is much needed in this world, not judging. Mental illness are not something to be ashamed of.
The TED story
I just want to spread knowledge and to be able to communicate with others, as simple as that.
Things you might not know
playing bastkeball. I used to be a really good player and almost got into the professional side. My height confounds people.
