In 2021, he shifted his focus to technology and human-digital-interaction, joining Portonics, a technology consultancy firm operating in Dhaka, Bangkok, and Washington, DC. As the head of the business team, Tauheed manages a range of global technology projects, including mobile applications with millions of active users. He splits his time between Portonics’ Bangkok and Dhaka offices.
Tauheed’s unique combination of architectural and urban design insight, technological expertise, and global exposure positions him as a strategic thinker who excels at identifying patterns and solving complex problems. His transdisciplinary experience, gained through participation in over eight TED flagship conferences and years of leadership at TEDxDhaka, Global Shapers Dhaka Hub, and the Bengal Institute, makes him a forward-thinking innovator and leader.
I'm passionate about
Making data and information available to public. No-matter what discipline it is about, no matter what is the agenda. I believe in radical openness.
An idea worth spreading
How much do we know about our cities? We refer to the situations by 'very' dense, 'heavy' traffic, 'lack of' public transportation, 'lack of' water and gas supply and we jump into talking about all these without data and reference. We also talk about the future of our cities without knowing the fact that in most cases the 'planning departments' or the municipalities have already drawn the masterplan of our cities say for next 30 years, and much of it have been done haphazardly. Do we have access to those information and access to contribute?
Isn't it our right to know the present scenario and the already decided future plans of our own neighbourhoods?
Lets ring the bell of bureaucracy and bring those data to public first even before we start talking about our cities. Then let the people talk and participate in the process of making of cities.

The TED story
Life is never the same after attending the TED 2009 in Long Beach as a Fellow! TED Talks were virtually changing me from long before and now TED is a part of my everyday life, thoughts and activities.
Undoubtedly TED 2009 is the most memorable, most amazing experience in my life. It gave me a the opportunity to meet so many great people together, it shuffled and blew storm through my brain during the 6 days.
And I got some great friends! The friends are the biggest earning from this life changing event.
And it didn't stop there, I became a Senior Fellow and I continued going to TED. It became a 'family' thing. As if I know the whole community after a few years. Specially the Fellows, all of them are my friends, and it is the one of the biggest asset, and proud power. I know there is somebody to solve something for me at any corner in the world.
And I am also a TEDx Organizer and a TED Translator. I have organized and curated 6 TEDxDhaka Conferences.
Things you might not know
1. Curation of people. Learned by doing. I am selecting speakers and attendees for TEDxDhaka, Global Shapers for World Economic Forum's Dhaka Hub for several years. Stalking, judging, vetting people have become part of my job!
2. Web-server maintenance (sounds boring? You have no idea how fascinating it is, unless you do!)
3. Digital archiving. I can meticulously organize and archive files, offline and in the cloud.
4. Strategy. It's a vague word I know. But I am good at quickly coming with solution for business and management bottlenecks.
5. Calligraphy. More or less!
