Bio

Mari is a mother of three children and originally from Nagasaki, Japan, now resides in BC, Canada since 1999. She is a full time Reiki practitioner and offers Reiki sessions in her home studio on a daily basis since 2006. She is one of the14 Dai Shihan (Great Teacher) in the world through Jikiden Reiki Institute, Kyoto and teaches Jikiden Reiki Shoden (Level 1) and Okuden(Level 2) certification classes regularly, and Shihankaku (assistant teacher) classes upon requests. She is a personal interpreter for Mr. Tadao Yamaguchi, the founder of the Jikiden Reiki Institute and organize the annual Jikiden Reiki seminars in Vancouver, travels to Halifax and Seattle as an interpreter. Since 2012, Mari has been offering reiki sessions at the Chilliwack Hospice Society as a Relaxation program volunteer for terminal care patients and their families. She is also a volunteer for a suicide bereavement group as a co-facilitator.
