I wanted a friend who didn't speak English to watch a TED talk, it hadn't been translated to Portuguese by then, I did a research to see how to request the translation and I found out it was actually a volunteer job, I applied and have been a contributor since 2017. I am really glad to be part of the TED translators team and for giving my (little) contribution to spread great ideas and knowledge :)
