I have taught for the past 8 years in a dual in which the program's goal is to help students become bi-literate in both English and Spanish.

Bilingual education and closing the educational achievement gap between low socioeconomic, Latino students and Whites.

The importance of culturally relevant practices are essential to enhance learning in our pluralistic society.

On my bucket list, I have the goal of speaking about my upbringing as a child of poverty, a single parent household, abuse, and still managing to beat the odds and graduate college pursue three master degrees and currently completed two years in a doctorate program. Speaking to motivate others who may be struggling to believe they can achieve success because of their baggage. All we need to do is take every opportunity to reach our goals and beat the odds; no matter how hard it may seem at times.
