I have dual citizenship in France and the United States and speak both English and French fluently. I grew up in France and have been living in New York for seven years. I am a French lawyer and I graduated in 2013 with a Ph.D. in French/American Comparative Law with the highest of honors. While working on my thesis, I conducted research in both French and English and translated on a regular basis English material to the French language. It was an obvious path since it married my interest in both languages and law. In parallel to my studies, I have also conducted extensive translation work. I have just finished working as an English/French Legal Translator at a law firm in NY. There, I drafted and translated from English to French all types of legal agreements related to movie productions. Through different summer internships, I’ve also translated from English to French a wide variety of highly technical documents, ranging from codes of conduct to legal contracts. I have extensive experience working on French/English translation projects as well as working on tight deadlines, and being detail orientated. Best, Pierre
