Bio
Currently studying Agribusiness and Business Administration at Van Hall Larenstein University of Applied Sciences.
I was born in Japan, lived in the U.S.A. for three years with my family when I was in middle school, graduated math and science course at Omiya High School in Saitama Prefecture, Japan, and I am in the Netherlands now.
After starting my high school life, I became interested in agriculture. I participated in some extracurricular agricultural activities, worked at two different tomato farms and started my own garden.
I'm passionate about
Sustainable agriculture, social welfare, environment, marketing
An idea worth spreading
Let's build a community where agriculture supports people's lives!
In Japan, agriculture is facing a huge problem of farmer shortage. Farming is not perceived as appealing or profitable occupation. However, we can change this by shifting Japanese agriculture to focus more on sustainability and social welfare.
There should be a way to earn money from organic farming---traceability and Agro-Supply chains. There should be a way for minorities to have a descent life---agriculture×welfare (working environment suitable for people with disabilities, the elderlies, etc.). And everyone, including low-income families, single households, and children, should have access to healthy meals---community café.
I hope to make a better, happier world through agriculture and food.
