Bio
I am originally from Milwaukee, WI but relocated to St Louis to finish school after my mom died in 2014. I recently graduated from St Louis University with a MA in Spanish with an emphasis in linguistics. I'm a language nerd at heart and love the opportunity to meet knew people and learn a little of their languages/cultures.
I'm passionate about
World cultures. Equality. LGBTQI activism.
An idea worth spreading
We all have our differences, those differences make us unique in a way that should be celebrated - not judged, belittled or ridiculed.
The TED story
I started volunteering for OTP in February 2016. Having recently graduated I thought that the project would be a good way to get some experience and networking opportunities within the translation and transcription communities, keep my language skills at the level they need to be at, and most importantly help others. TED talks tackle a variety of topics and share ideas that are so important to the betterment of society. Everyone should have access to these stories and ideas, I am extremely grateful that I can play even a small part in helping other people gain that access.
