Bio

I've been practicing Shotokan Karate-do since I was 6 years old. In 2008 I became a World Champion at the ISKF World Shoto Cup held in Toronto. As a martial artist, my goal is to make the world a better place.

An idea worth spreading

Martial Arts. It teaches us not only self-defense, but to respect others as well as ourselves. It's all about becoming persons of good character and integrity - this way we will be doing our part to make the world a better place, which in turn can help to bring peace to the world

The TED story

I was an exchange student when I first watched a TED talk. It happened on a Global History class, our teacher showed us Sinek's talk about how great leaders inspire action. Then when I got home I spent the rest of the day watching TED talks, and obviously, I got addicted. For me, it's like a school, if not better. However, when I got back to Brazil, I was impressed that none of my teachers had ever watched a TED talk. So I started to indicate some talks to them and to my friends, and they are all getting addicted too. This year, my plan is to organize a TEDx Event at my school, because I believe that TED is an idea worth spreading, and that it will change our education system.
