Bio
I am a Sudanese student who went through difficult circumstances due to the war in my country. Because of it, I lost a year of school and fell behind my friends who managed to leave Sudan. Thank God, after a year and a half, I was able to leave safely and came to Egypt. I decided to continue my studies in the Egyptian education system, and I hope to be able to develop myself continuously to reach the future I aspire to and to use my knowledge and skills to help the children and youth of my country who were prevented from learning by the war.

The TED story
For years I searched for what I wanted to be when I grew up. I'm very intelligent in science and mathematics. Everyone expected me to go into a scientific or engineering field, even I expected that myself. But then I discovered and realized that I love politics, helping people, and languages. So I decided to take a future step in languages, translation, and helping people. I was confused and didn't know where to begin. By chance, I discovered that TEDx had a volunteer translation opportunity. I attended one of their events, and it was the best thing I've ever done for myself and the community.
Things you might not know
Many around me are unaware that I am fluent in two languages and am learning a third. They don't know that I am a translator, nor do they know about my ambitions and future plans, or what stage I have reached now.
