Hi there! My name is Leticia and I'm passionate about getting to know the stories that shape the word and the people living in it. In my experience, I have discovered the important role played by language and culture in allowing for those stories to be shared and even how they change our perspectives of our own stories. That's why, I'm always curious to learn and get to know a little more people, languages and stories.

I love getting to know people's points of view on a wide range of situations and how different people can see things differently, but also encourage each and every one of us to broader our own perspectives.

I think an idea worth spreading is that, in our relationships, whether a long-term one or just a brief encounter, we are given the opportunity to see a tiny piece of a person's life. Therefore, we can choose to engage with them only for the immediate reasons that sustain that exchange, or we can try to fully witness their experience in a way that changes us and choosing the latter makes life ever so much richer.

I have had a long story of watching TED-ed and TEDx contents, even eventually using them as a way to perfect my at the time still developing English knowledge. Only years later I learned that the portal takes on volunteer translators and, upon finding that out, I have decided to enroll on the project as a way to continue watching its deep reflections while also contributing to allow for them to be accessible for more people.

One skill I have attempted to develop is trying to connect different subjects, even if they seem to be from completely different areas of knowledge, in a way that aggregates for my understanding of both of them.
