Doctor

Bio

I am a medical doctor dedicated to improving health outcomes through evidence-based care, lifelong learning, and meaningful human connection. My work has shown me that medicine is not only about diagnosing and treating disease—it is also about understanding people, building trust, and helping individuals make informed decisions about their health. I am passionate about sharing ideas that bridge science and everyday life, making complex medical knowledge accessible and actionable for everyone.

I'm passionate about

I am passionate about medicine, public health education, preventive care, patient empowerment, and effective communication. I believe that knowledge can transform lives when it is shared in a clear, compassionate, and accessible way. I am also interested in leadership, lifelong learning, and helping people make healthier choices through understanding rather than fear.

An idea worth spreading

One of the most powerful tools in healthcare is not technology, medication, or advanced procedures—it is communication. When patients feel heard, understood, and empowered, health outcomes improve. By creating stronger conversations between healthcare professionals and the people they serve, we can build trust, reduce fear, and help individuals take a more active role in their own well-being.

The TED story

Throughout my medical career, I have witnessed moments when a simple conversation changed the course of a person's life. These experiences taught me that behind every diagnosis is a human story. TED inspires me because it creates a platform where ideas can connect people across cultures, professions, and experiences. I hope to contribute by sharing lessons from medicine that can help people live healthier, more informed, and more meaningful lives.

Things you might not know

People don't know I'm good at listening. Medicine is often associated with diagnosis, technology, and treatment, but some of the most important insights I have gained throughout my career came from carefully listening to patients. Behind every symptom is a story, and behind every medical record is a person with fears, hopes, and experiences that cannot always be measured by tests or scans. Over the years, I have learned that listening is not a passive skill. It requires curiosity, empathy, and the willingness to understand perspectives different from our own. Many of my most meaningful breakthroughs with patients happened not because of a new medication or procedure, but because a conversation revealed something that had previously gone unnoticed. I am also good at translating complex medical concepts into language that people can understand. I believe knowledge becomes truly powerful when it is accessible. Helping people understand their health empowers them to make informed decisions and take a more active role in their well-being. While these skills may not be visible on a résumé or reflected in professional titles, they have shaped the way I practice medicine and connect with people every day.
