Bio

Hello! I'm Seher Asya Albayrak. I am an English Translation and Interpreting student at Samsun University. Alongside my primary studies, I am also pursuing a degree in International Relations at Anadolu University, allowing me to approach language studies from a broader, interdisciplinary perspective. For me, language is more than a means of communication; it is a bridge that connects people, cultures, and ideas. This perspective shapes both my academic journey and my commitment to continuous professional development. As the project coordinator of a TÜBİTAK 2209-A research project, I have been investigating the impact of artificial intelligence on the translation industry. I also serve as the Language Department Coordinator at Etkin Kampüs, where I contribute to team management, moderation, and event organization. In addition, I write articles for my department's blog, continuously developing my writing and editing skills. One of my main motivations for becoming a TED Translator is to help make knowledge and inspiring ideas accessible beyond language barriers. I believe translation is not only about transferring words, but also about connecting people, cultures, and perspectives. I see every new text as an opportunity to grow as a translator while contributing to someone else's understanding of the world.
