Bio
I’m a web developer with a strong interest in languages and translation. I volunteer as a TED linguist to help make knowledge more accessible by bringing content into Urdu, a language I deeply connect with and want more people to benefit from. I believe language should never be a barrier to learning.
I'm passionate about
I’m passionate about learning, building, and sharing knowledge in ways that feel accessible rather than intimidating. I care deeply about languages, technology, and using digital tools to help people understand ideas that might otherwise feel out of reach.
An idea worth spreading
Language should never be a barrier to knowledge. When ideas are accessible in someone’s native language, they don’t just inform — they empower. Translating ideas is one of the simplest ways to make learning fairer and more inclusive.

The TED story
I come from a background where access to quality learning resources wasn’t always easy, especially in my native language, Urdu. Over time, I realized how powerful it is when ideas are presented in a language people truly understand.
As a web developer, I work with technology every day, but as a TED linguist, I get to work with meaning. Volunteering allows me to combine both interests — technology and language — to help make important ideas accessible to a wider audience. Being part of TED feels like contributing, in a small but meaningful way, to a more informed and connected world.
Things you might not know
Breaking down complex ideas into simple, readable language. I’m good at noticing small details in text and making sure the meaning feels natural, especially when translating between languages.
