A native Portuguese speaker with a BA in Translation, who not only writes for pro bono translation work but is also an avid writer of fiction and a published author in Portugal. Recently, I have been travelling to developing countries to learn new languages and experience different cultures, as well as gain real insights about the countries I often translate about. My volunteer work for organisations such as Street Child Africa, Translation for Progress, and Global Voices have made me acquainted with Human Rights, Education and Environmental media. My previous education in Zootecnic Engineering provided me with the knowledge of scientific terminology. And my own proficiency in creative writing has allowed me to make Literary Translation one of my specialisation fields.
