I'm passionate about
I’m passionate about connecting people through language, helping ideas travel across borders, and making learning accessible to everyone. Reading, storytelling, and translating those stories into different languages so that anyone, anywhere, can enjoy and learn from them. I’m passionate about exploring cultures and perspectives through language, and using my skills to bring important ideas to a global audience.
An idea worth spreading
Hello! I'm Yağmur Aykol, a graduate of English Language and Literature. Pursuing a career in translation is a dream come true for me. I'd really love to work as a freelance or remote translator (English-Turkish/Turkish-English) at a prestigious company like yours, if the opportunity arises. Since I want to build my career in this direction, gaining experience is my top priority. My previous experience includes working as an intern editor for literary articles at the University of Warsaw. While creating fan fiction content on Wattpad, I also translated from English to Turkish on the same platform. Therefore, I believe I can contribute to you with my translation and editing skills. It would be a great pleasure to take my first steps on this journey with you. Thank you very much in advance for your interest.
Best regards.

The TED story
I learned about the TED Translators program while researching opportunities to combine my passion for languages with meaningful work. I was inspired by how the program enables volunteers to make knowledge and ideas accessible across cultures. I specifically found the website on LinkedIn.
