Klara Veer is an architect x designer currently living and working in Cluj. As project architect, has contributed to the refurbishment of the city's main Cultural Centres and the renovation of its historical central park. An enthusiastic contributor for the TEDx events in Cluj, she is usually responsible for the general design consultancy and stage design. Klara passionately dives into the projects she's working on, but also finds time for voluntary jobs that she believes can bring about social change.

Art and human creativity; one of my favorite projects is LUtOPIA.ro, a playful fantasy land where I create decorative toys invented by children of all ages and hand-made from recycled materials.

It all started some years ago when I was sitting one evening in front of my laptop with my terminally-ill father, committed to perform a live translation of Benjamin Zander's uplifting TED talk. The moment when I realised that somebody, somewhere, had already translated the talk into his language, I was deeply moved and very thankful for the voluntary efforts that person has made. And I couldn't wait to pay it back, knowing that this kind of work was tailored for me. I never stopped doing it ever since.
