I am currently a 23-year-old LQA Specialist at Terra Localizations. I was born in Ho Chi Minh City and raised in LA (a southern province of Vietnam). Since childhood, I’ve been drawn to video games, music and so as any creative spaces where stories, emotions, and cultures meet. Though I once pursued a career in the music industry, that chapter didn’t go as planned. But almost magically, as if it had been meant to happen, I found my way to game localization and everything started to make sense. It felt like the missing piece that connected my love for language, storytelling, and global culture. I guess my name gave me the way. I’ve been chasing meaning my whole life, and now it is my current job. Took me 23 years to realize it was right there in my name the whole time (Nghĩa is my legal name, which means "Meaning" in Vietnamese). As The Four Agreements (Ruiz, 2002) says, “Always do your best". It's not about perfection, but with presence and intention. I believe that when we create from the heart, we build meaning, connection, and something real. This mindset guides how I work, learn, and embrace mistakes as part of true progress.
