Bio
Hello, my name is Marta and I am 36 years old. I hold a degree in English Philology and a Master’s in Creative and Humanistic Translation from the University of Valencia.
Throughout my professional career, I have gained valuable experience in the field of translation, particularly as a Translator/Editor at Amazon Lëtzebuerg, where I had the opportunity to translate web content and product descriptions from English and Italian into Spanish. This experience allowed me to refine my language skills and attention to detail, which I consider essential for an effective translator.
In addition, I have worked as a translator at the Institut Valencià d’Art Modern (IVAM), where I was responsible for translating agreements, contracts, business letters, catalogues, and other publications. This role taught me to handle a variety of document types and to adapt to different terminologies, ensuring that the message and intent of the original text were preserved in the translation.
Alongside my translation skills, I also have a strong background in English language teaching, which has enabled me to develop a deep understanding of the language and its use in various contexts. My communicative teaching approach has taught me to interact effectively with people from diverse backgrounds and levels of language proficiency.
I'm passionate about
Writing my own stories, playing piano, travelling, experiencing new cultures and meeting people, sharing ideas, being creative, swimming, cycling and I consider myself a foodie and a very curious person in general. I love reading so I am always looking for new things to expand my knowledge.
