Hi! I am Daniela Belen Echenique, Literary Translator and Proofreader (English-Spanish). I got my degree at the Instituto Superior Lenguas Vivas and I live in La Plata, Argentina. I work with fiction and non-fiction texts, independent authors, and publishing projects that require a conscientious and ethical translation which respects the field, tone, and register of the original. I believe that translating literature involves much more than transferring words; it is the art of reconstructing a reading experience in another language, being loyal to the original atmosphere and the author's intention. I have experience translating narrative, testimonial genre, and fiction with cultural and social themes such as mental health, gender violence, social justice, spirituality, and religion, among others. My linguistic training, combined with my experience as a writer myself, allows me to approach texts from a comprehensive perspective and integral vision, paying attention to both the accuracy and the aesthetic dimension of language. I offer translation, proofreading, and editing services for texts and translations to exploit the full potential of your literary work.
