Bio

I find purpose in the subtle art of change – not just in grand visions, but in the deliberate crafting of effective processes and the fresh insights gained from unique perspectives. As a medical student actively involved in diverse fields, from advocating for human rights to building capacity and championing vital causes, I've observed that meaningful impact often stems from a meticulous attention to detail and a willingness to embrace unconventional viewpoints. My natural inclination is towards process-driven solutions. Whether it was designing streamlined workflows for a remote exchange program team to ensure seamless collaboration, or committing to a sustained sugar-free lifestyle requiring consistent, detail-oriented choices, I am drawn to creating systems that optimize outcomes. This appreciation for process solidified when I recognized the profound influence of organized documentation and efficient systems on the overall performance and progress of any endeavor. What some perceive as a "unique perspective," I often recognize as simply thorough consideration. It involves carefully evaluating information, anticipating potential shifts, and analyzing diverse outcomes before acting with intentionality to achieve a specific goal. This considered approach fosters creative solutions. For instance, in facilitating a workshop on peacebuilding, I explored how a seemingly small gesture like a smile could ease tensions and foster understanding – illustrating how a subtle change in perspective can yield significant results. This thoughtful perspective informs my engagement in advocacy and human rights initiatives as well. Driven by a desire to broaden access to valuable knowledge, I am also a TED Translator, contributing to the essential mission of making "Ideas Worth Spreading" accessible across linguistic and cultural boundaries. This dedication extends to my aspiration to organize a TEDx event, where I aim to cultivate a platform that amplifies underrepresented voices and introduces transformative ideas to my community, sparking meaningful dialogues and inspiring collective advancement. Moving forward in medicine and beyond, I remain dedicated to being a process-oriented agent of change, striving to contribute to a more positive future through carefully considered innovation and a perspective that values collaboration and progress for all.

An idea worth spreading

Emotions are NOT to be negotiated! When someone opens up feeling anything, it's not for you to challenge that emotion, but it is for you to communicate with empathy and compassion. When emotions are made, they are made based on facts, which on their own can be true of false facts, and challenging them is fine as long as that is done through open and empathetic communication. But on the other hand, emotions are always true. Throwing blames and criticism is not sharing emotions, they are based on emotions, but they are not emotions by themselves, and they are an unhealthy way of communication.

The TED story

Infected by TED-Ed, enjoying the "fun fact" videos and brain teasers, and sharing them with friends. By the end of 2024, I jumped into TED Translators (out of mere boredom🤭) and subsequently fascinated by the prospect of knowledge accessibility, inclusivity and empowerment. Kicking off 2025, I caught an interest into TEDx, keeping track of events near me, and reading more about license application and TEDx organizing. And here I am! Actively planning to apply for a license.
