I am an avid reader and a writer who is bilingual in Indonesian and English. I am originally from Jakarta, Indonesia, and moved to the United States to attend college before continuing on to graduate school. I care about working towards making quality education more accessible to underprivileged communities regardless of their income/finances, racial and ethnic backgrounds, disabilities, and language skills.

I am deeply concerned about helping as many people as possible get the education they deserve.

Consider this idea: what if one day universities can be totally free? This means that universities do not charge for tuition and are not being run for profit. Imagine a future in which education is no longer seen as a commodity but as a basic human right--as basic as the need for food and water.

I joined TED Translators because I want to be a part of a global movement to make interesting videos available in languages other than English.
